One canvas workflow rocks!

Jakub’s new one canvas workflow is totally awesome!

Making various sizes of icons is now a hundred times less frustrating. Especially because [1] Inkscape launches a new instance every time you open an icon, so you can’t copy and paste between windows. [2] the icon directory is a maze when you want to find icons [3] And… whatever, I’ll never have to deal with all  that ever again!

Templates!

I never knew this before. I thought templates were kind of useless, but they turn out pretty handy when you’re configuring your document over and over again (Kalle found a way to avoid this, but it’s a bit of a hack, and I don’t want to get administrator permissions just for that).

Merging i.p.cpw.qulogic.msn to i.p.p

For human beings this means: support for status messages and offline messages (MSNP15) in the next Pidgin release.

Update: GNOME 3: Tabs and People

Update: Yes, ofcourse this is a joke, it was set up at GUADEC. Thanks for all the concerning responses! :)

Actually dobey, I, and although I’m not a hacker I do some UI design for Pidgin. I was impressed with the new direction for GNOME 3.0, and the modifications made to Banshee and Totem, and I think we should redesign Pidgin to fit in with the next generation of desktops.

If the Pidgin devs don’t agree with this I’m going to fork Pidgin and call it Hidgin.
