It’s been five years since the launch of the Tango project and the icon-naming-spec and I think we have done a tremendous work since then. Just look at some old screenshots of the early GNOME 2.x desktop and compare them with those of today. Thanks to everybody who has been involved!

Dark gtk theme
Long time no post… Has been quite busy for me lately. Loving my new job and I’m currently arranging moving to London, which proves to be harder than I thought. Bureaucracy sucks…
You may also have noticed that my icon maintenance on Pidgin have been lacking, but I hope to catch up on it soon. Meanwhile Jakub Steiner did some retouches on the Pidgin application icon, which will make its way into version 2.6. I really love the craziness of the creature. You thought the Pidgin logo was scary? Think again!

Shrunk Pidgin smilies
Something I wanted to do for quite a while now: new smaller Pidgin smillies. Some people like them smaller, and I agree they demand less attention in your chat windows sometimes.
There is already a smaller smiley set, but these use the new (Mango like) style.

GNOME 3.0 Art Roadmap - First draft
This is the first draft of the GNOME 3.0 Art Roadmap. I made this because nobody was planning on doing so, and I cannot let GNOME 3.0 go by without some impressive changes. Now this roadmap contains some of my personal views and those of others that I’ve picked up. The document will probably change a lot, but it’s a first start, and I think we need a clear direction.
