So I found this cheap old webcam I bought two years ago. It’s a Trust 120 Spacecam. Back then I couldn’t get it to work on Fedora, so I put it away and completely forgot about it. Now my Linux skills are a little better, so I tought I’d give it another try. I installed Ekiga and Cheese and plugged in the webcam. I was prepared for a long night of searching of browsing through documentation and compiling drivers. I decided to check out Cheese first, and… What…? The webcam is working already!!! :O
+1 for Ubuntu! +1 for Cheese! (because it’s such a funny app)
*** hbons throws away the webcam driver disc…
chees also works for my somewhat. It’s fun to play with the effects. Every time I try to record video though … it crashes.
